I tried to include as much as I could, but if anyone needs more pics or detail let me know! I stuck the control unit right under the glove box which can't be seen unless you duck under. Use the fuse taps to piggy back these, and attach your ground wire to the earth/ground nut to the left. I used the f94 for ACC (ignition) which is the blue top row, and the f36 (live) which is the blue bottom row. Once you pull out the cover, you can acess the fuses and the ground nut. Pull back the mat, and unscrew the 2 screws covering the fuse box. Feed the cable to the camera, and you're done!įirst you need to access the fuse box, which is on the passenger side. I placed 1 cable clip a few inches away as the rear liner was a little loser and the cable easily dropped out Place your rear cam up high and centered (avoid placing on the heater wires/defroster). Continue feeding across all the way back to the top of the rear window The cable should slot in to the top of the B-Pillar across to the rear door seal rubber. Pull the seal back, feeding the cable across to the B-Pillar. Again, wedge the A-Pillar slightly and feed the cable along the top across to the door rubber seal

Plug in the rear coax cable to the front camera, feed it up through a cable clip and in to the head liner and follow it through to the driver A-Pillar. The main casing will then come out with a little pull and has 4 clips

Wedge a blunt plast item in and pop that out. It is in 2 parts, the first is the narrow portion closest to you. I chose to remove the mirror panel for this so I could neatly put the cable under the liner completely. Installing the Rear Camera (Green lines in pictures attached) The cable will easily pop out to go behind the plastic panel on the floor to the right and will feed in to the fuse box for hardwiring Once you reach the rubber seal of the passenger door, peel it back enough to insert the cable and work your way down to the foot well

I actually used my daughter's plastic spoon and worked well. Simply wedge out the top of the A-pillar slightly using a blunt plast tool of choice, and run the cable along the top. You can then easily push the power cable in to the head liner and run it off to the passenger side on the right (US car). This keeps your cables neat which is a must for me. Plug in the power cable, and use 1 or 2 cable clips that come with the camera. I found the centre location the best for view, but also is mostly hidden by the rear view mirror Find a good spot for your dash cam, clean the window where it will be placed, and stick it on. Installing the Front Camera (Red lines in pictures attached) I noticed a lot of people removing the A-Pillar panel, but you can easily wedge any panels out slightly with a plastic wedge or even your fingers. Blackvue DR590w-2CH (front and rear camera)įirst thing to note from my installation is that you do NOT need to remove any panels/pillars from your car except above the mirror panel (easy to clip off). Here's a more detailed summary of my installation.
